OWEN HARGREAVES says Manchester United should sign Juventus striker Paulo Dybala instead of Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann has been heavily linked with a mega-money move to Manchester United this summer from Atletico Madrid.
But Hargreaves believes Dybala would be a better acquisition than the Frenchman.
Dybala, 23, starred for Juventus in their Champions League quarter-final win against Barcelona earlier this month and is three years younger than Griezmann (26).
The age of the Argentina international is a key aspect which appeals to Hargreaves.
"You have to look at what you have and what you desperately need," he said on BT Sport.
"I think they need a Dybala-type player.
"Everybody speaks about Griezmann, I think Griezmann would be terrific.
"But I think Dybala, he's a little bit younger, he's going to be a superstar if he isn't already.
"That star power that Ibra (Zlatan Ibrahimovic) bought, I think Dybala could bring that as well."
However, Juve would likely put up a fight for Dyabala, who has also been linked to Barcelona.
The striker signed a new contract at the Turin club earlier this month in an effort to quell reports he will leave in the summer. - Sunday Express
