Real Madrid injury blow: Star ruled out for a month as La Liga title race goes to the wire

REAL MADRID have been dealt a huge blow in their hopes to win La Liga and the Champions League with Gareth Bale being ruled out for a month.

Bale

Bale had not featured in Madrid's previous two matches before Sunday's game against Barcelona after picking up a calf strain in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg against Bayern Munich.
But Bale aggravated the injury even more after being rushed back for the crucial Clasico match.
The Wales international hobbled off the pitch after just 39 minutes.
And he is now in danger of missing the remainder of the season for Real with the La Liga title race on the line as well as their European hopes.
Real Madrid confirmed the prognosis with a statement.
It read: “Following tests, the player has been diagnosed with a grade 2 injury in his left calf. His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
Bale will miss both legs of Real's Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid and would face another race to be fit for the final if they make it.
The 27-year-old has been plagued by injury problems during his time in the Spanish capital.
Bale has suffered 17 injury setbacks since leaving Tottenham in 2013 and there are growing concerns over his fitness problems.
